Tony began his career working at General Reinsurance Group’s alternative risk transfer unit, Genesis Underwriting Management. At Genesis, Tony worked with risk managers, CFO’s, consultants and brokers in structuring and managing alternative risk financing mechanisms such as captives, large SIR programs, fronted deductible programs, RRG and blended finite risk programs.
Tony held the position of Regional Casualty Manager with Employers Reinsurance Corporation for the Latin American and Caribbean Regional Operations in the Miami office.
Later he joined E.W. Blanch, a reinsurance broker and held the position of Vice-President in the Client Origination Team for the Southeast United States and lead the Workers Compensation and Specialized Casualty effort in the region. Tony was also in charge of coordinating production as well as client development and services for the EWB organization in Puerto Rico.
Tony holds a Masters in Risk Management and Insurance from Georgia State University and a Bachelors degree in Finance from Bentley College. Tony also holds a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) professional designations from the Insurance Institute of America.
